You Wanna Bita This Now_November 2016

This month features emerging theatre maker Jamila Main with Tim Mackie

In an Australian cultural environment that is almost entirely bereft of respect from our leaders and courage from our representatives, MAP are stepping up to do what we can the only way we know how, by creating opportunities for the next generation of theatre makers in this country.

Show them your support as well and join us on November 26th.

About the performance

‘Geode’, noun. A geological structure that is essentially hollow except for a mineral deposit. Geode explores the various facets of a relationship that is no longer enriching the people involved. Geode investigates the emotional investment and sacrifice of two people at the time of the relationship’s ending. Geode has been created by theatre maker Jamila Main and features her original text, with movement and choreography developed in collaboration with Tim Mackie and Nicole Allen. The work explores what we expect and define as ‘theatre’, within traditional constraints and now on the livestreaming platform.
